The multiplier event of GoGreen took place on Saturday 8th of October 2022, during the event of TEDx Patras 2022 held at the Conference & Cultural Center of the University of Patras. The Greek research team of GoGreen initiated the event by briefly presenting the GoGreen project and introducing the use of augmented reality technology and simulation-based training to promote green economy. Also, the intellectual outputs of the project were presented, informing participants about the VET green curriculum using Augmented Reality technology (IO1), the simulation-based training package (IO2), the MOOC for climate action (IO3), and the toolkit with policy and practice recommendations prepared (IO4).
During the multiplier event, the Greek research team of the project implemented also with success an educational workshop based on a role-playing simulation game. The workshop gathered 47 participants, who were mainly adult trainers, VET practitioners and providers, entrepreneurs, university students and other stakeholders interested in climate change. Through the workshop, participants had the opportunity to interact with others, exchange arguments and ideas, as well as apply negotiating strategies in a controlled learning environment. This allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of climate change, access important knowledge, develop critical skills and experience a valuable lesson about the actions that businesses are taking or should take to address the key challenges of climate change. The workshop has clearly been a great inspiration for participants to engage actively on the matter and embed the GoGreen material and methodology in their own teaching, training, or educational courses.
